How are courses designed?

The Data analysis with SQL and Google Data Studio course will be designed for 5 sessions in 15 hours (3 hours/ session). The curriculum will focus on practice, whereby students will be exposed to practical problems of the business, and apply the knowledge & skills of SQL learned to solve. Classes will be equipped with real-life data samples and online platforms so students can directly compose and execute their commands.

Session 1: Introduction to Data analysis & SQL

Understand the importance of data analysis in businesses
The basic concepts of a database
Practice basic SQL statements (SELECT FROM WHERE GROUP BY ORDER BY)

Session 2: Essential SQL for analysis on a single table

Practice handling string and time data types
Practice using CASE WHEN to group data
Practice using SUBQUERY and WITH for complex analysis

Session 3: Working with multiple tables & windows function

Practice using JOINs to join data tables together
Practice using UNION to join data tables together
Practice using WINDOW FUNCTION for special analysis

Session 4: Data Visualization with Google Data Studio

Introduction to Google Data Studio tool
Practice connecting external data sources to Google Data Studio
Practice building an automated report with Google Data Studio

Session 5: Case studies

Practice a series of simple to complex analytics for a DVD rental business, then present the report on Google Data Studio to help business owners track business results and come up with necessary decisions.

FULL TUITION FEE: 3,100,000 VND

NOTES:

Students shall complete the payment in advance, and not later than the opening session. BAC does not accept any payment after the opening day.
Exceptions: In cases of faulty payment process or students have committed to pay tuition fee after the opening day, BAC will accept as exceptions.

OTHER PROVISIONS

Reserve registered courses

After register and pay the tuition fee for the course, if students can not join the course, they should have an official notification to BAC before the opening session. In this case, students will be reserved tuition and join the next course or switch to another BAC course in suitable requirements.

Opening Schedule Changes

In case of course could not start on schedule, BAC will send an email to inform the student of the expected opening day.
If the new opening schedule is suitable for students' needs, BAC will reserve tuition fee. Students will continue to participate in the course.
If the new opening schedule does not meet students' needs, BAC will refund the tuition fee.

Refund Policy

Tuition fees ARE NOT REFUNDED.
In case of our student cannot join the new class schedule due to a change from BAC in terms of changing the course opening schedule, that student will be refunded the tuition by BAC according to the following process:
- Students can receive a refund by transfer or in cash.
- After the two sides have officially confirmed the cancellation of the course, the entire tuition will be refunded to students by BAC within a maximum of 3 working days.
- Students must return the receipt of tuition to BAC to complete the refund procedure.

Data Architect

Mr. Phan Nguyen Minh Truong is currently a software engineer at NashTech. He has over 15 years of experience in various data platforms such as relational DB, NoSQL, Graph DB, distributed DB to cloud data platform (Azure, AWS, etc.)

In addition to the role of Data Architect, Mr. Truong also assumes the role of Technical Architect (TA). From actual projects, building frameworks of projects (core modules, git processes, CI-CDs, etc.), Mr. Truong has had experience working with clients through defining the adaptive model of business needs of customers. Besides, he is also a member of the SWAT group, participating in bidding for new projects, supporting projects to solve difficult/urgent technical problems in a limited time.
